Looks like Ubisoft have changed their minds, and decided to release Assassin's Creed: Rogue on PCs, but only in the new year. Rogue will however still be a last gen. exclusive upon release though.
What this means though, is that PC gamers will be able to enjoy both the "last gen." and "new gen." Assassin's Creed titles with possibly only a minor upgrade to their current gen. gaming PC set up, while console gamers will need to have access to more than one console in order to appreciate the entire story.

Here'a new trailer giving us a bit of insight as to which familiar faces we'll get to see again, as well as how the lead character, Shay Cormac becomes disillusioned with the Assassin's, and turns to the Templar order instead.
Rogue is looking very promising story-wise, but I'll wait a few more weeks before taking the pre-order leap of faith. I have however pre-ordered Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, which is set for release here on Friday.
