For the sun-worshippers...

The fifth (and final) edition of Queens of the Stone Age's series of music videos that has been airing on LikeClockworkTV was released on Friday afternoon.

In My god is the sun, we get to see all of our favourite characters from the previous LikeClockworkTV episodes making a reappearance. A winged skull with a gold tooth also makes an appearance. Make sure to  watch right till the end, and then re-watch I appear missing, which was the first video in the series. Freaky stuff, and an excellent way to end the series, if this was indeed the end.

If you haven't seen the previous four videos, you can see them in order of release here; parts 1, 2, 3 and 4.

The official premier of Queens of the Stone Age's first single off ...Like Clockwork is taking place tonight at 20:40 SAST (11:40 PDT, otherwise click here for your local time). My god is the sun was played live for the first time a little over a week ago, but now, in less than an hour, we'll get to hear the album version. That's if you're on the guest list.

Queens of the Stone Age début new song in Brazil

Queens of the Stone Age were one of the headlining acts at this years Lollapalooza Brazil event, which took place in São Paulo on 29-31 March. On Saturday night QoTSA played My god is the sun live for the first time. The track comes off the new record, which has been earmarked for a June release, and will be titled, ...Like Clockwork.

...Like Clockwork will feature the talent of former band members Nick Oliveri, Mark Lanegan, and Joey Castillo, as well as see the return of past collaborators Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters), Alex Turner (Arctic Monkeys), and Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails, How to Destroy Angels), and even features an appearance by Sir Elton John, which I am particularly looking forward to hearing.

After listening to My god is the sun, as well as some of the music clips mentioned last week, this album sounds as though it shouldn't disappoint.
